I was first introduced to Agile in the early aughts, shortly after the Agile Manifesto was penned. At the time, I was serving in the Air Force. As an acquisitions (program) manager, my mission was to explore the integration of agile practices with prevailing project management methodologies like waterfall, critical path, and stage-gate.
Fast forward to today: I've leveraged agile practices multiple times in the commercial realm. Whether launching a digital ideation incubator, debuting a new app, or driving enterprise transformation, I've come to value Agile more as a leadership philosophy than a rigid, process-heavy method.
