🚀 DEVELOP: Unleashing Potential
Embodying the spirit of 'Big Things Fast', understanding Agile leadership has never been more pertinent in our dynamic world. This week, instead of the usual deep dive, I'm sharing a repost from my recent LinkedIn post. A conversation that melds the principles of Agile with the essence of impactful leadership. Whether you're tuning in during your morning commute or unwinding after a day's work, this discussion with Murray Robinson and Shane Gibson from the No Nonsense Agile podcast promises to be a beacon for new managers and team leaders.

I was first introduced to Agile in the early aughts, shortly after the Agile Manifesto was penned. At the time, I was serving in the Air Force. As an acquisitions (program) manager, my mission was to explore the integration of agile practices with prevailing project management methodologies like waterfall, critical path, and stage-gate.
Fast forward to today: I've leveraged agile practices multiple times in the commercial realm. Whether launching a digital ideation incubator, debuting a new app, or driving enterprise transformation, I've come to value Agile more as a leadership philosophy than a rigid, process-heavy method.
Thanks to my "Big Things Fast" [https://lnkd.in/gHRxiyxB] co-author, Marcus Dimbleby, I connected with the No Nonsense Agile Podcast [https://lnkd.in/gUHeynh8]. Hosted by Murray Robinson and ✨Shane Gibson, their chats dig deep into the heart of Agile, stripping away the fluff – exactly my kind of conversation.
I recently had the honor of joining them to discuss how US Air Force leadership principles can resonate in the civilian world. Our talk spanned mission command, Red Team Thinking [https://lnkd.in/gspjbEnq], servant leadership, and the transformative power of leadership training.
When you tune in, here's what you'll unpack:
👉 The strategic advantage of empowering teams to think critically and take the initiative.
👉 Practical methodologies to employ Red Team Thinking for robust plan evaluations.
👉 The bedrock principles of servant leadership and its power to foster trust and elevate team dynamics.
👉 The undeniable importance of ongoing leadership training and development.
With Murray and Shane's probing questions, brilliant recaps, and seamless editing, I came out sounding even more insightful than I could have hoped! Thank you, gentlemen.
